SALAAT UL-TASBEEH (nafil)

Namaaz e Tasbeeh is of four rakaats and has rewards beyond measure. This Namaaz can be performed anytime besides the forbidden times for Namaaz. The following tasbeeh is to be recited three hundred times in Salaatul Tasbeeh:

SubhaanAllaahi Wal Hamdulillaahi Wa Laa Ilaaha illal Laahu Wallaahu Akbar

Glory be to Allah and all praise to be to Allah. There is no deity but Allah. Allah is the greatest.

In the first rakaat, after reciting thana 'Subhaana kal-laahuma-ma..', read the tasbeeh 15 times.

Then recite A-00zu Bil-Laahi, and' Bismillaah, then read Surah Fateha and a surah and then read the tasbeeh again 10 times. (total 25)

Go into ruku saying Allaahu Akbar. After reciting 'Subhaana Rab-biyal 'Azeem'

minimum of three times, read the tasbeeh10 times in ruku. (total 35)

Saying 'Sami Al-Laahu Liman Hamidah, Rab-banaa lakal Hamd', get up from ruku. Now read the tasbeeh 10 times again. (total 45)

Now go into sajda saying Allaahu Akbar and after reciting 'Subhaan Rab-biyal A'laa' minimum of three times, read the tasbeeh 10 times in the first sajda. (total 55)

Now sit up from the first sajda and sit in Jalsa saying Allaahu Akbar. Sitting in this position (Jalsa), read the tasbeeh 10 times. (total 65)

Go into the second sajda saying Allaahu Akbar, and after reciting Subhaan Rab-biyal A'laa minimum of three times, read the tasbeeh 10 times. (total 75)

Saying Allaahu Akbar, stand up for the second rakaat.

Do the second rakaat in the same way, but before reciting Bismillaah and Surah Fateha, read the tasbeeh 15 times. Follow the rest as you did in the first rakaat.

After the second sajda of the second rakaat, sit in Qa'dah e Ola (first sitting) and recite tashahhud (attahiyat), durood and dua, then stand up for the third rakaat without saying salaam.

Start the third rakaat the same way as the first rakaat with thana 'Subhaana kal-laahuma-ma..', then read the tasbeeh 15 times.

Follow the rest as you did in the first rakaat until you sit for Qa'dah e Akheerah (last sitting) after the second sajda of the fourth rakaat. In Qa'dah e Akhreeh, recite tashahhud, durood, dua and end the Namaaz with salaam.

Tasbeeh is read 75 times in each rakaat, making it 300 in four rakaats.

Note:'

'      Do not count loudly, on fingers or by holding a bead tasbeeh in hand. This will break your Namaaz. You can count by pressing the fingers.

'      If you miss a count, then make it up in the next posture. However, missed tasbeeh cannot be recited in qayam after ruku and jalsa between sajda. Make it up in the following ruku or sajda. If you miss the count in the last sajda of the fourth rakaat, then make it up before attahiyat in Qa'dah.

'      If a wajib is missed in the Namaaz and sajda sawh is to be performed, then you don't have to read the tasbeeh again since the 300 count has been established. But if you remember later that you missed a count, then you can make up for it in sajda sawh.

Hazrat Abbas(Radi Allaahu Anhu) asked Prophet Muhammad, 'O Prophet! 'Who can stand up for it everyday?' 'Prophet said, 'if you cannot establish it everyday, then observe it on Friday. And if you cannot do that every Friday, then observe it once a month. And he did not cease to say that until he ''said, 'offer it once in your lifetime'. (Sunan Abu Dawood)
