ALLAH TA'ALA IS FREE FROM ALL IMPERFECTIONS

In Fatawa Rasheedia , Deobandi (affiliate of Wahabis), Rasheed Ahmed Ganghohi has written that 'Allah can tell a lie'. Maaz Allah.

It is the belief of Ahlus Sunnah Wa Jama'ah that Allah does not lie and is free from all defects and those things, which lead to defects.

Allah Ta'ala states in The Quran:

'And those who believe and do good deeds, soon We shall cause them to enter gardens beneath which river flows, wherein they will abide forever. The promise of Allah is true. And who is more truthful in statement than Allah'

(Surah An-Nisa. verse 122)

'Allah is, besides whom there is none to be worshipped. And He will certainly assemble you together on the Day of Resurrection, of which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful in His word than Allah.'

(Surah An-Nisa. verse 87)

Imaam-ul-Mufassireen, Imaam Fakhrudeen Raazi(Radi Allaahu Anhu) in Tafseer Kabeer has written that 'it is not permissible for any Muslim to even think that Allah can tell a lie. Actually to even think such a thought removes one from the folds of Islam'. He further states that 'to be truthful is from amongst the attributes of Allah. The evidence for this is that to tell a lie is a defect for Allah and for Allah to have any defects is totally impossible'.

Zubdatul Mufassireen Allama Ali Bin Muhammed Khaazin in Tafseer Khaazin has written that 'the point to be mentioned is the fact, that there is none more truthful than Allah and He does not go against His word and is totally impossible for Allah to lie'.

Umdatul Mufassireen Imaam Abdur Rahmaan Baidhawi(Radi Allaahu Anhu)' in Tafseer Baidhawi has written that 'a lie cannot find any place in the message of Allah Ta'ala, as it is a defect, and to have a defect is totally impossible for Allah Ta'ala'.

Imaam Abu Hanifa(Radi Allaahu Anhu) in Fatawa Alamgiri has written that 'any person who says Allah Ta'ala to possess a certain attribute which is not worthy of His being, or says Allah Ta'ala to be weary or to have some weakness, then such a person committed kufr'.

Imaam Rabbani Mujadid Alf' Thaani Shykh Ahmad Sarhindi Farooqi(Radi Allaahu Anhu) in Matoobat has written that 'that most Exalted One (Allah Ta'ala) is free and pure from all defects, direction and limitations'.
